The photographs can be reliably attributed to Dr. Ernest Muirhead Little (1854-1935) who was a surgeon at the National Orthopedic Hospital at the time. Dr. Little received his medical training at St. George&#039;s Hospital where Fancourt Barnes&#039;s father was an obstetric surgeon on the staff.</div>
